Iron-rust
block-printed triangles over-dyed in rust on cotton cloth
using flour and water paste-resist painted on in narrow
stripes. The crackled effect was created by the paste
shrinking on the cloth as it dried out. Pulling the dried
cloth created a tracery of fine line allowing the dye
to penetrate the cloth.
