Grey
dyed cotton cloth with lines of tied-resist circles made
by tieing in half grains of rice before the cloth was
dyed. In the Yoruba tradition this form of resist dyeing
is called adire eleso, and tiny millet seeds
rather than rice, are bound into the cloth with raffia
before dying.
