Grenville Unit visit to the museum |

| Maggie Doyle and four young people from
the unit came to the museum for advice and support with the design
of a logo for their production of Faust. The logo appeared
on a T-shirt and programme and refelected the contemporary nature
of the production. |
8th December 1999
Walter Daw visit |
| Phil Mawdsley and Dominic Prosser, from
the Telematics Centre, visited Walter Daw to record interviews with
some of the children involved in the Walter
Daw Choice exhibition. The children's comments were later used
as sound clips in the virtual exhibition on this WWW site and as captions
in the exhibition. |

Atkinson Unit visit

Phil visited the unit and looked at
slides of works from the fine art collection with several of the
young people. This included dynamic discussion about a range of
issues, for instance in, looking at the portrait of Olaudah Equiano
(anon. 18thC) it was possible to address the history of slavery
and contemporary racism.
