East Devon College, Tiverton visit to the museum

A group from East Devon College, Tiverton, led by their tutor, Bea Kerek, spent a whole day at the museum. This included a close look at works from the fine art collection, meetings with several museum experts, and a behind the scenes tour. The group met with Julia Uvol Dance CrestsSimpson, Museum Manager, for a chat about how the museum is run.They also met with Len Pole and Alison Hopper-Bishop for informal discussions on the role of curators and conservators at the museum. This was with particular reference to the Uvol Dance Crests from New Britain.

Workshops based on the Travelling Companions Exhibition
Bridget Crowley leading a workshop at The Royal School for the DeafBridget Crowley, Outreach Officer from the National Gallery, London, led workshops on the Travelling Companions Exhibition with a number of Exeter-based school groups, including the Royal School for the Deaf, Ladysmith Middle School and the West of England for Children With Little Or No Sight.
