Block Printing

This is a virtual re-enactment of a workshop that Emmanuel Jegede took at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter. You can create your own block print on the canvas using virtual potato shapes - see below for details of how to get your design onto a T-shirt.

How to get your Block Printing onto a T-shirt

In order to do this, you'll need a T-shirt printing kit for your particular printer - these print your image onto a transparency which you can then iron onto a T-shirt.

You can purchase T-shirt printing kits from companies such as WH Smith, PC World and Jungle.

  1. Once you've got your printing kit and set it up as per the instructions, create your design on the canvas as normal
  2. Now click the button underneath the canvas which says 'make me printable': all of the elements surrounding your design will disappear (NB: To get back to your original, just press the 'Backspace' key on your keyboard)
  3. Right click on this new image and then choose 'Print' (NB: Make sure you set up your paper as 'Landscape')
  4. Now click 'OK', sit back and wait for your masterpiece to appear!

! FRIENDLY WARNING !
If you leave this page the block printing will reset

Download Block Printing

Now you can download blocking printing (405kb) to use on your PC at home without being connected to the internet.
